Lemko's Node1 is the world's first commercially available 4G core network solution. Its all-IP fully distributed approach increases revenue through access to new markets not economically served by other networks or technologies. Node1 is ideal for bringing communication services to locations where capital and operations cost are critical.

Node1 keeps on-going operation expenses low, delivering a sustainable business case for even the smallest rural markets. Switching, authentication, and even CDR generation take place at the cell site so no backhaul is required. All inter-connect is completed over IP links, meaning the entire network is designed to provide mobility for support high speed data as well as provide high quality voice services.

Lemko's Node1 offers a full suite of subscriber features and services, including call forward, call waiting, SMS, roaming capability and other services provided by large, centralized MSC products. It is radio technology agnostic, and supports standard air interfaces including GSM, GPRS, EDGE, CDMA and UMTS. It is software upgradeable to LTE.

From a technical perspective Node1 delivers the BSC functionality found in an eNodeB plus the complete 4G packet infrastructure - the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and the circuit switched infrastructure (MSC, HLR, SMSC and CDR creation) all at the cell site/ service location. Node1 delivers high quality voice services due to its low latency and a fully distributed approach. When several Node1 systems are connected, the result is an all-IP packet switched solution – the industry's vision for future networks.
