Node2-A™

Lemko's Node2-A A-Interface™ provides a link between a network of Lemko Node1s and an existing cellular switch. This allows operators to deploy all-IP Evolved Packet Core 4G systems in new areas while connecting to existing MSCs and Operations Support Systems. The Node2-A appears as a highly intelligent BSC to the MSC.

Lemko's Node2-A A-Interface is the perfect 4G transition tool. It is a cost effective way to expand network coverage to under-served or data traffic intensive areas, evolving to an all IP, next generation infrastructure. The new sites communicate with each other across an IP network, providing the efficiencies and dynamic routing capabilities of a fully distributed network. Traffic to the legacy cellular and SS7 networks are routed through the Node2-A so existing management and support systems may be utilized. There is no need for complicated interfaces, sophisticated routing, protocol conversions or complex rules.

Node2-A delivers a standards-compliant A-Interface for the GSM family of cellular networks including GSM, GPRS, EDGE, HSPA and UMTS. Mobile-to-Mobile, Mobile-to-Land, emergency calls and SMS texts are supported as well as mobile data. The password protected Graphical User Interface (GUI) makes it easy to configure and manage.

In addition to network extension applications, Lemko's Node2-A solution is ideal for emergency mobile communication and short term capacity increases.
